Jan Jelinek's new album pays in some ways tribute to the Krautrock statement spread by those legendary bands such as Can Tangerine Dream or Popul Vuh. His new album ''Kosmischer Pitch'' holds plenty of allusions to this era. While ''Lemminge und Lurchen inc.'' might seem to refer back to Amon Düül's 1971 double album ''Tanz der Lemminge'', ''Planeten in Halbtrauer'' is reminiscent of Arno Schmidt's ''Kühe in Halbtrauer''. Jelinek's opus moderandi consists in extracting tiny fragments to serve as loose associations to past musical references.
