Featuring a couple of duets, some Bardot-sung, Gainsbourg-penned numbers, and a number of Serge-only tunes, this is not, technically, a completely collaborative record. It is, however, one of Gainsbourg’s finest releases featuring a wide range of styles from moody, funky French pop (\''Bonnie And Clyde\''), to barroom piano jazz (\''Bubble Gum\''), to Afro-Caribbean rhythms (\''Pauvre Lola\'' and \''Baudelaire\''), to the swinging 60's pop he was most known for at the time (\''Docteur Jeckyll et Monsieur Hyde\''). A classic from these two French heroes, originally released in 1968, is reissued here on 180 gram vinyl.
