A very interesting and special CD only release from A Made Up Sound / 2562. His story about it: '' 'Shortcuts' is not a brand new piece of work, nor is it a full-on A Made Up Sound album. It's a personal little project I worked on in the rainy month that was June 2004, living in a suburb where I had ended up more or less by accident and knew no one. The concept was quite straightforward: to write one piece of music every evening after a day at work, during one month. Every piece had to be finished the same night, as I wanted to find out if I could use compulsion in a positive way, as a means to create something different. As it happened, twenty short experimental pieces of all sorts came out, forming together what so far has been sort of a private album. As four years down the line the results still mean something to me, and since there has been some interest in my earlier musical efforts recently, I decided to release them eventually. In order to keep the original idea alive, I kept post-production and mastering to a minimum and chose to present the Shortcuts as-they-were, in their raw and underproduced state.''
