This, the second album from SAVAS PASCALIDIS, on International Deejay Gigolo Records, delivers more of PASCALIDIS unmistakable brand of dark acid techno. The album is shrouded in dark synths entangled with firm body-movin beats and acid bleeps. Wide acid sounds squelch their way throughout Disko Vietnam, all the time accompanied by crisp drum rhythms. Occasionally a solitary voice calls us from the darkness with a command like ''move your body'' or ''got to get up… got to release… the tension''. The PASCALIDIS disco might have come back down to earth after the inter-galactic Gigolo debut album, but the music is no less spacey for the fact that it is set in Vietnam this time rather than remote stars.
